New report outlines ways the government can attract more private investment

The government must try harder to attract private investors to help it achieve its infrastructure building promises, the Confederation of British Industry has said.

In a new report, the business body said the financial strain put on the Treasury by covid-19 must not be allowed to derail the government’s infrastructure spending ambitions - and urged private investors to step in to make sure major schemes get built.
